AS the SAFF Championship reckons and top clubs are running short of players, MMC withdrawal has opened an opportunity to attract more Pokhara based fans into the stadium. The organisers has yet to finalise the team to replace MMC for the semifinal place battle but they have confirmed that United Sikkim is within talks about to participate in the quarterfinals. The organisers spokeperson addressed that United Sikkim is team the organisers are trying to bring into the tournament.

United Sikkim is I-League second division club in India from which the former Indian skipper and goal machine Bhaichung Bhutia plays for. Bhaichung Bhutia is one of the deadliest strikers with 43 international goals. He had numerous international spells with English club Bury FC. He has also played from both Kolkata Giants Mohun Bagan and East Bengal. Bhaichung Bhutia is set to travel with United Sikkim to Pokhara if the club agrees.

It will be opportunity of lifetime for the Nepalese fans to watch the Indian Legend in action before he hangs up his boots. He is now 34 years old.
