Jack Stefanowski and Richard Orlowski have arrived in Kathmandu on Monday as the head coach and assistant coach respectively for the Nepal national football team. The All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has confirmed that both Polish national has been officially appointed for a year.
Stefanowski, 37, is a former national team assistant coach of Puerto Rico and has 14 years of professional experience in the national, NCAA Collegiate and youth level, developing field players and goalkeepers by creating an ideal training environment. Orlowski, 54, is the assistant coach of Stefandwski. Head coach will be paid $8,000 per month, as salary while the assistant coach will be given $3,000 per month. The arrival of a foreign coach is a part of the agreement between ANFA and Plus One, US-based sports kit manufacturer.
Speaking with the journalist at TIA the Polish duo has said they aim to make Nepal the best team in South Asia. They have watched videos of Nepal’s performance and feel that Nepal plays beautiful football and keeps ball position but lacks good finishing.
Orlowski stressed on the need for good strikers and will evaluate the players in the ongoing Martyr’s Momorial Red Bull A Division League and prepare for the friendly match against Pakistan on February.
