Budha Subba Gold Cup 2069: Budha Subba Gold Cup kicks off today

buda subbaOne of the most coveted tournament outside the Kathmandu Valley Budha Subba Gold Cup 2069 is about to kick off from today. Budha Subba Gold Cup is being organised every year continuously for more than a decade now. Organizer Dharan Football Club is very proud in continuing the tradition of organizing the tournament so that Dharane crowd is able to see top Nepali football teams and players in their home ground.

Altogether 8 teams will take part in this edition of the tournament. 6 teams from Nepal including recent league champion Three Star Club, Manang Marsyangdi Club, Nepal Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Sahara Club (Pokhara) and organizer Dharan Football Club. Other two teams include Bhutan CFC and Honkong Nepali Federation.

The winner of this year's tournament will take home a cash prize of Rs 325,000. The runners-up will take home Rs 162, 500. Other individual prizes will also be awarded with cash prize which included Man of the Match, Best Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfielder, Forward and Coach.

ANFA Vice President Kishor Rai cited that the tournament had to be delayed as the domestic league took longer time to conclude and they want to include the best team in the country.

The first match of the tournament will be between organizer Dharan Football Club and Bhutan CFC.
